How to wrap (DIY)

A full video tutorial is coming in January 2026

This 5 step guide will walk you through the process step-by-step so you can achieve a clean, professional result at home. Make sure you take your time. Read these instructions carefully. Let’s get started!

STEP 1
Preparation & Cleaning:
Remove the bindings and any hardware from the board. Clean the topsheet using isopropyl alcohol or a vinyl-safe cleaning product. Make sure the surface is dry again before you begin.

STEP 2
Position the Wrap:
Lay the vinyl wrap over the snowboard. Do not yet remove the backing paper. Position it exactly where you want the final design to sit. Make sure the artwork is centered.

STEP 3
Secure the Wrap with tape: Use soft tape (painter’s tape works great) in the middle of the board. To temporarily fix the wrap onto it or the table underneath it. This prevents the vinyl from shifting during installation and ensures you maintain perfect alignment.

STEP 4
Apply the Wrap:
Start on one end of the board. Slowly peel back a portion of the backing paper (release liner). Until you reach the tape. Cut of that piece of backing paper. Hold up the vinyl and stretch it, not too hard. Work from the center towards the end. Use a vinyl squeegee with a felt edge to press the vinyl onto the board. Smoothing the wrap evenly to avoid bubbles and wrinkles.

Tip: You can pull parts of the wrap loose and reaply if needed. But stay gentle, dont do it to much.

Repeat the same process on the other side of the board.

STEP 5
Trim the Edges:
Once the vinyl is fully applied, use a sharp utility knife. Hold the knife at roughly a 70-degree angle along the board’s edge and trim the excess vinyl in one smooth, controlled motion.

When the perimeter is finished, locate the binding holes by gently running your hand over the surface. Carefully cut out the binding holes.

Universal wrap sizing

All our board wraps feature a large size, making them suitable for various snowboards. When making the designs, I strive to consider placement carefully. If you have doubts or questions about a design or specific dimensions, don't hesitate to send me a message!
